Frequently Asked

The things folks ask us.

If your question isn't here, send it to us — we love answering them.

01 About the litter

When were the puppies born?
Violet whelped early on May 21, 2026. 11 arrived; 10 are nursing — we said a soft goodbye to one little brother that first night. Whelping happened at home with our family vet on call.
How many puppies?
10 puppies — 9 boys and 1 girl. Violet's pre-whelp ultrasound suggested twelve; eleven arrived on the night and ten are nursing now.
What colors are the puppies?
A mix of fawn and brindle. Both Violet (fawn) and Chief (brindle) can produce either color.
When can puppies go home?
Puppies leave for new homes at 8 weeks — around July 16, 2026. Going home earlier than that is not safe for the puppy.

02 Applications & waitlist

How does the waitlist work?
Fill out our application. We read every word. Once approved, your non-refundable deposit secures pick order. Pick order is set by the date the deposit clears.
When is the deposit due?
After we have talked on the phone and you have been approved. Deposits are $1,100 — 50% of the puppy price.
Is the deposit refundable?
Non-refundable, but transferable to a future litter if circumstances change on our end (small litter, your puppy color/sex unavailable, etc.).
How do we pay the deposit and balance?
Check or Venmo. After our phone call we'll share the mailing address for a check or the Venmo handle — whichever works for you. The deposit secures pick order; the balance is due at 8-week pickup.
Will you turn down a buyer?
Yes. If it doesn't feel like a fit — for the puppy or for you — we'll say so kindly. We'll refund any deposit collected if we are the ones saying no.

03 What's included

What is included with each puppy?
Vet exam at go-home, age-appropriate vaccinations, multiple rounds of dewormer, a piece of bedding with the litter scent, a small bag of the food they have been eating, and a take-home folder with everything you need to get started.
Are the puppies AKC registered?
Violet (the dam) is AKC registered — her sire is Thorian of Paris and her dam is JM's Xena of Paris. Chief (the sire) came to us without papers, so this litter cannot be AKC registered. The puppies are still purebred English Mastiffs, but they will not come with AKC paperwork.
Do you ship?
We don't ship cargo. We prefer in-person pickup here in Wausau so we can meet you. Ground transport or flight-nanny services can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

04 Visits & go-home

Can we visit before pickup?
Yes — once puppies are 5+ weeks old. We schedule visits on weekends and ask that you visit only our litter that day (no other kennels).
What should we bring on go-home day?
A crate or carrier for the ride home (Mastiff pups are bigger than you think — a 36" wire crate is a good starting size), and a calm attitude. We will hand off the puppy, the take-home folder, and a long hug.
How is pick order decided?
By deposit date. The first deposit picks first. We will share each puppy's personality profile with you before pick week so you can make an informed choice.
